For the last couple of months I have been reading blogs,
more specifically, Catholic mom blogs. I
‘discovered’ these blogs by accident. I
was on the Catholicmom.com website which I visit every Sunday for the Gospel
activities that I use for my religious education class. Anyway, there was an interesting article
which led me here
to Lori’s blog. From there, I found Jen
at Conversion Diary which caught
my attention because I am also a covert (although not from atheism). And then it just snowballed when I started
reading other bloggers that link up with Jen for the ‘7 Quick Takes Friday’. Since then I have been hanging out with Grace
at Camp Patton, Kelly at This Ain’t the Lyceum, and Dweeja at House Unseen, Life Unscripted to name a
few. There are several other blogs that
I check in on when I can. (I will post links to others in the near future) Anyway,
I never knew how amazing reading blogs could be. I have found tremendous
strength spiritually and emotionally through these ladies. (plus, you just can’t
beat the comic relief J) I feel like I have new friends, but to really
be friends, I need to be able to share my life too. So I have decided I would try this blogging
business. (By the way, thanks so much
Dweeja for the timely 7QTF post about why I should be blogging). So this is it, the first one and we will see
how dedicated I can be with this.
Probably the biggest disclaimer I need to put out there is -
I am not a writer. There are some
fantastic bloggers out there who are incredible writers; I am not going to be
one of them. If I can simply get some
thoughts and some photos posted from time to time, I will be happy with
that. And I apologize in advance for any
spelling, grammar, or punctuation errors you may encounter should you choose to
read my blog.
I'm so pleased you've found community in the blogging world! It can be such a support in this crazy world.
